Greetings everyone!

On behalf of the Alex’s Bluewater Foundation, we are proud to announce the 2011 Alex Caviglia Bluewater Classic (ACBC), from Saturday, January 15 to Monday, January 17, 2011 in Coconut Grove, Florida. We are celebrating the fifth year of the ACBC, one of the top regattas in the country, bringing together windsurfers, keelboaters and awesome dinghy racers from all over the globe! Biscayne Bay will be alive with racing this winter so be sure not to miss the action! The following classes are invited to participate in the event:

Windsurfers:

• Formula (Standard Formula Rule)
• RS:X Men and Women
• Techno 293
• Kona

Keelboats:

• Skud 18
• Sonar (Paralympic trim)
• 2.4 mtR

Dinghies:

• O’Pen BIC (under 12 years old and over 12 years old)

As individuals, we can all make a difference to the world we live in. Proceeds from the regatta will benefit Alex’s Bluewater Foundation and Shake-A-Leg Miami, two local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities specifically focusing on those stricken with traumatic brain injuries. Sadly, in November of 2004 we lost Alex Caviglia, a consummated kite-boarder and windsurfer, champion multi-class sailor, soccer coach, business and family man. To celebrate his memory, we take great pleasure in inviting you to be a part of this fundraising regatta and to discover the social benefits of inclusive sailing.
